Welcome! ✨
Hey there! Welcome to the Lift Her Up Letter, a space where faith meets real life, and encouragement meets truth. This newsletter is designed to uplift, challenge, and strengthen you in your walk with God. Each edition will include a devotional, faith-building insights, practical tips, and updates on our latest podcast episodes.
My prayer is that this space becomes a source of wisdom and encouragement—a reminder that you are not alone on this journey. Let’s grow together as we pursue God’s best for our lives.
Endurance: The Strength You Didn’t Know You Needed
Of course, only God would have me sitting in a Publix parking lot, crying in my car, during the rain. As crazy and unconventional as it seemed, it was the most emotional I had felt in a long time. The feelings I had stuffed away started to expose themselves through my tears. Why did I fight to hide them? I felt like something was stolen from me. I’ve been stuck in the past yet the clock had moved forward. How can people who have wronged me and hurt me appear so content while I feel so stuck? We’ve all been there.
Truthfully, I was rushing to be done with a process that wasn’t done with me. I felt like my past betrayals and abandonments gave me the right to withhold my heart from my Creator as if He didn’t know the inner fight I was facing. But God, so gently, reminded me that above all He is my perfect Father who knows no failure. He showed me that I was fighting to numb the pain that He wanted me to endure.
Endurance is often the missing piece of our life equations. Sometimes we want the most optimal end result without the necessary input. We are humans who look for shortcuts. We bypass the process, always looking for cheat codes to get out of pain and discomfort. Maybe we’ve forgotten the God we serve. Or, do we really serve Him at all? Because a disciple's reward is suffering and a true believer revels in that truth. But many of us fight the suffering and fail to see the opportunity endurance gives us.
Endurance is the ability to stay committed in the face of difficulty or adversity. Romans 5:4 tells us that affliction produces endurance, so quite literally, we cannot acquire endurance without hardship. You don’t buy endurance, you build it. If we want to be more firm in our faith then we have to understand this concept because it means that God will use problems and pain to strengthen us before He’s able to advance us. Culture popularizes asking for blessings and increases while ignoring the preparation and refinement needed to enjoy and sustain those blessings.
So maybe the way we see and submit to our suffering determines how much we get out of the situation. Not submitting to the problem but submitting the problem to the God of our problem. Sit with God in your suffering, invite Him into that space. The problem may not disappear but there are promises attached to His presence and you are guaranteed the fellowship, protection, peace, and joy as long as He is with you.
Reflection: Is it difficult for you to sit in suffering? In what way is God calling you to endure in this season?

Faith Tip: Strengthen Your Endurance
Here’s a practical challenge for you this week:
- Instead of praying for the trial to end, ask God to reveal His purpose in it.
- We often rush to pray away our pain, but what if we prayed for wisdom within it? This week, when hardship arises, pause and ask:
- 💬 “God, what are You trying to teach me in this season?”
Write down what He reveals and pray over it.
